Legislative Internships with the General Assembly

Rep. Bob Smith (R )  wants to hire an intern immediately to help with fundraising and to do research on issues relating to higher education.  Representative Smith chairs the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Higher Education.  The internship opportunity during the fall of 2007 involves work here in the Athens area.  The intern could probably continue working with Representative Smith during the 2008 legislative session in Atlanta. 

Rep. Matt Dollar (R ) is a recent UGA Political Science grad.  When Rep. Dollar entered the state House in 2003, he was its youngest member. 

Office of Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle.  Lt. Gov. Cagle is in second year after having served for twelve years as a state senator.  A UGA Political Science major interned in his office in 2007.
